A Journey of Exploration and Transformation
My path to founding Cotton Twist has been as diverse as it has been exciting. After studying Geography at University in Edinburgh, I embarked on a stint in the fast-paced world of investment banking in London and Hong Kong. But it was my time as a partner in a small jewellery business that truly ignited my entrepreneurial spirit.
A Mother's Frustration Leads to Inspiration
Everything changed after the birth of my third child. As my older children attended countless parties, I grew increasingly frustrated with the plastic tat they brought home in party bags. It was then that the seed of an idea began to sprout – a vision for more wholesome and creative alternatives made from natural and sustainably sourced materials that could minimize or eliminate plastic waste altogether.
From Idea to Reality: Building Cotton Twist
In 2015, armed with determination and a desire for positive change, I founded Cotton Twist. Starting small, I poured my heart and soul into developing products and activities that would spark creativity in the realm of gifts and celebrations. With a background in both corporate giants and small entrepreneurial ventures, I felt equipped with the best of both worlds to bring my vision to life.
Growing Pains and Triumphs
The journey wasn't without its challenges. Building Cotton Twist from the ground up demanded relentless dedication and hard work. But with each obstacle came a new opportunity for growth and learning. From our humble beginnings in 2015, we've come a long way. We set up our first office in early 2018 and moved to larger premises in the summer of 2020, a testament to the passion and dedication of our team.

I'm known for my good sense of humor, zest for life, and unrelenting drive to push boundaries and drive our brand forward. With a team of incredible individuals by my side in our west London office, we're always on the lookout for the next big project to further our mission and ethos.
